eSIM for Bali coming with very quick support via whatsapp when problems occur
Bought an eSIM via balisim for a three weeks travel in Java and Bali.
Wasn'n quite sure, if this is a trustful and reliable business partner, cause had to send passport data an picture.
But indeed it was. Registration for use of domestic SIM-cards is obligatory in Indonesia.
Process was successful, but activating did not work, as balisim quickly responded due to a registration process failure at telekomsel (the network provider for balisim).
Wasn't sure, thus I registered my smartphone once again at the telecommunication airport authority in Jakarta (luckily without waiting). But it did not work neither.
Was informed some hours later via whatsapp by balisim, that the registration process at telekomsel should work now. And it worked.
Data connnection was almost eveywhere without any problem. Domestic data volume for East Java was counted on the domestic data volume for bali (which was 10 times higher then national data volume on the same eSIM).
Domestic eSIMs might be cheaper in Indonesia itself, but registration may take a long time (don't miss your connection flight/transfer ...!) and eSIMs are not available everywhere.
Gede and the team at Balisim went above and beyond to help me get my e-sim connected and working. I’d overlooked a phone service for our trip but after purchasing online at the airport it was ready to install by the time we landed and then Gede went over and above helping me do this by WhatsApp chat in English.
Not having used them before I now won’t go anywhere else to get my phone working in Bali.
